Suspected terrorist killed, 25 detained

Coalition forces killed one terrorist and detained 18 others while conducting multiple operations throughout Iraq Sunday, military officials reported.

Military Channel to broadcasts stories

Iraqis stepping up

Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates Dec. 26 learned from a U.S. Army officer working closely with Iraqi forces that Iraqi units are gaining confidence in their abilities and are doing more to empower noncommissioned officers.

Iraqi police graduate

About 125 Iraqi police officers, assigned to various units in the Baqubah area, graduated from the first Iraqi Police Training Academy in Baqubah, Dec. 24.

Stryker Brigade reunites

The 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division headquarters, and two of its battalions, trekked from Mosul to Baghdad over a two-day period recently, performing combat operations along the way.
