Air show, open house
Andrews Air Force Base’s annual Joint Services Open House and Air Show is Friday to Sunday.
The event is a chance for the general public, with no military connections, to see the aircraft, interact with military members and see aircraft-related hardware.
This year, there is twice as much transportation from FedEx Field to the air show.
This year’s event features a variety of air and ground demonstrations from military, government agencies and civilians. Highlights include the new F-22 Raptor, the Air Force Thunderbirds, and the Army
Golden Knights celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The air show begins Friday for DoD ID cardholders and school-sponsored children and opens to the general public Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
