Cheap dates for Aug. 20

Downrange to perform Saturday
Downrange performs Saturday at the Workhouse Art Center Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. The performance is this season’s first in the center’s summer and fall concert series. U.S. Air Force summer concerts
The Airmen of Note perform Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Air Force Memorial, One Air Force Memorial Drive, Arlington.
The Concert Band and Singing Sergeants perform at 8 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Air Force Memorial.
Max Impact performs at 7 p.m. Aug. 30 at Robert V. Setera Amphitheater, Allen Pond Park, 3330 Northview Drive, Bowie, Md.
Concerts are free and tickets are not required. Concerts are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather. More information is available by calling 202-767-5658 or from usafband.af.mil.
Farmers market
Dumfries hosts a farmers market with produce, crafts, gourmet items, ciders, music, children and youth activities, pony rides and more.
The market is Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Dumfries United Methodist Church,  3890 Cameron St., Dumfries, 22026, at the corner of Washington and Cameron streets.

Farmers’ markets are also planned for Sept. 12 and 26 and Oct. 10.
