Thursday, August 07, 2008Old Guard supports wounded warriorsThe slow, steady rhythm of the horses’ hooves echoe off the pavement and bounces off the walls of brick buildings as they carry their mounts gently traversing up and down the hills of Fort Myer. As they walk, the wounded warriors free the reins and hold their arms out at their sides, responding to the undulating horse below, by adjusting and strengthening the muscles in their bodies.

National Night OutMilitary Working Dog Unit Staff Sgt. William Morton introduces his daughter, Emma, 1, to Kira, a specialized search dog, at Tuesday’s National Night Out at the North Post Pool. Tuesdays celebration marked the event’s 25th year and Belvoir’s 14th year of participating.
