Usually, the TDMWG meets in the Directorate of Logistics conference room. However, that Thursday, the team members deviated from the norm and participated in their first virtual meeting.

The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps recognizes 50th anniversaryThe 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) Fife and Drum Corps turned 50 years old Tuesday. In honor of the milestone, the unit has developed a series of special concerts and a tour of musters, or gatherings of similar period marching ensembles. It will also present a special tattoo written for the anniversary.

Aileen Cole Stewart: Black pioneer of the Army Nursing CorpsAileen Cole, a graduate of Washington, D.C.‘s Freedman Hospital School of Nursing, always considered herself a pioneer. As one of the first black Army Nursing Corps nurses, she was always eager to serve. She received her nursing certificate in 1917 after three years’ study.

Snow scenesThe recent record snowfall brought out the child for all ages as snow enthusiasts took to the neighborhoods and hills for sledding, skiing, and snowshoeing. Others created snow forts, sculptures, snowmen, snow angels and reveled in snowball fights.
