Congregation prepares for High Holy Days



Fort Belvoir Jewish Congregation celebrates High Holy Days 2008 with the following events. All events are at Belvoir Chapel.
Rosh Hashanah
Sept. 29, 7 p.m., Service
Sept. 30, 9:30 a.m., Service
11 a.m., Children’s Service
7 p.m., Evening Service
Oct. 1 , 9:30 a.m., Service
11 a.m. Children’s Service
Yom Kippur
Oct. 8, 6:40 p.m., Kol Nidre Service
Oct. 9, 9:30 a.m., Morning Service
11 a.m., Yizkor Service
11 a.m., Children’s Service
4:15 p.m., Mincha Service
5:15 p.m., Martyrology Service
6 p.m., Neilah Service
7:15 p.m., Maariv Service & Shofar
7:30 p.m., Break the Fast in the Religious Education Center.
Sukkot
Oct. 17, 7:30 p.m., Service and Sukkah Dinner
Simchat Torah
Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m., Simchat Torah Service and Program
Fort Belvoir Jewish Congregation has weekly Friday night services at 8 p.m. at Belvoir Chapel. The group has a traditional Shabbat dinner Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the Religious Education Center. September’s Saturday service is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Saturday Torah Services are Saturday and Oct. 25.
