Who do you work for?
I work for the Directorate of Logistics.
What is your job?
I am the heavy mobile equipment supervisor. We repair all types of equipment on the installation, for the active Army and the civilian work force. That equipment can range from tactical equipment to the basic lawn mower.
Where are you from?
Baltimore, Md.
How long have you been at Fort Belvoir?
It will be five years in May.
Were you ever in the military?
I retired as a first sergeant in 2004 after 23 years in the military of a maintenance company. My last duty station was Fort Bliss, Texas.
What are some of your hobbies?
My main hobby right now is attending church. That’s basically my life right now.
What do you like most about your job?
I like to stay around the Soldiers. That’s why I stayed with the government for my career. I like working with the Soldiers, for the Soldiers; and, I love working with the equipment the Army has.
What do you like most about working at Fort Belvoir?
The environment. Belvoir was my first Advanced Individual Training and I came through my general mechanic schooling here. I like the changes they have made so far. You can see the tremendous difference from 1983 to now. They have made great strides in the community.
