From now until November the Anklebiters, Nationals, American and Central teams take center stage on Fort Belvoir and Fairfax County football fields each weekend.

There are fans in the stands, regardless of the heat and humidity, rain or shine, because it is gridiron time. For the Bulldogs of Belvoir, these are the days to hone skills, practice good sportsmanship, excel at teamwork and forge friendships. It’s the competition that counts, as they give it their all in hopes of a successful season.

The fun in football is always there, emphasized with fair play, tailgating off the field and throwing the ball around and under the stands. This is the game that signals the summer season turning into fall, leaves bursting with brilliance and the return of red and black Belvoir jerseys filling the field.
