Lane at Pence Gate to close Monday

Fort Belvoir’s Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security has announced the closing of the right, incoming lane of Pence Gate Monday.
According to DPTMS Operations Specialist Tim Maples, contractors will be connecting water pipes as part of the ongoing construction for the new Fort Belvoir Army Community Hospital.
Advanced warning signs of the closure will be placed at spots along Route 1 as commuters approach the gate.
All of the construction will be conducted in front of the entrance to Pence Gate, therefore both access points will still be open for use.
