New to Belvoir? Moving to Korea or Germany?



Army Community Service’s Relocation Readiness Programs offers several classes for people new to Fort Belvoir or who expect a move to Korea or Germany.
Newcomer’s Orientations are Monday and June 2 at 9 a.m. in the Barden Education Center Auditorium.
In the program, people who attend learn about Belvoir and what resources and events are available in the community, meet the installation commander and can learn about different agencies on post. Child care is provided with advanced registration.

Welcome to Germany is May 15 at 9:30 a.m. at Army Community Service. The event is ideal for people PCSing to Germany and would like to know what to expect about the new location, including housing, schools, pets and other resources. The program is conducted on the third Thursday of each month.

Hearts Apart is May 15 at 6 p.m. in the AFTB Building, Bldg. 1153, next to Dunkin’ Donuts.
Hearts Apart supports waiting families by linking family members with other families who are separated due to their sponsor’s mission requirements. The program offers a supportive group setting for activities, opportunities to learn about available resources, and networking during spouses’ and sponsors’ absence.

Welcome to Korea is May 22 at 9:30 a.m. at ACS.
The program is intended for those PCSing to Korea and want to know what to expect about their new location, including information about housing, schools, pets, and other PCS resources. Welcome to Korea is on the fourth Thursday of each month.

A Citizenship Information Session is June 2 at 5:30 p.m. at ACS, provided by Multicultural Services.
The session provides information on citizenship preparation, English as a Second Language, and immigration services. This is an immigration resource to ask any questions in preparing to fill out Form N-400, immigration visas, instructions for citizenship interviews and preparing for the citizenship examination.
