A made-for-television movie based on the real-life observations of a casualty escort was screened for more than 150 Soldiers, civilian and DoD support staff from Human Resource Command, Casualty and Mortuary Affairs, at Fort Belvoir’s Wood Theater Feb. 19.

About 150 mortuary affairs specialists from the Army Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operation Center attended the premier of “Taking Chance,” a Home Box Office movie starring Kevin Bacon.

Times are tough, with newscasts full of stories about foreclosures, mortgages, interest rates, mass layoffs, investment fraud and excessive Wall Street bonuses.

A flurry of action catches your eye, and, as you watch, you realize how the ritualized training of each step and thrust of fists are intended.
