Crossing guard needed for Fort Belvoir Elementary

Two-hundred children walk from Lewis Village to school every day during the school week, 25 buses transport children from the installation and countless parents pick up and drop off their children at Fort Belvoir Elementary School, but there is one major problem plaguing school officials.

Regiment begins new chapter with groundbreaking

The groundbreaking ceremony for the 260th Regiment Regional Training Institute was held in the parking lot of the Fort Belvoir U.S. Army Reserve Center Friday.  Maj. Gen. David F. Wherley, commanding general for the Joint Force Headquarters, District of Columbia, was the event’s guest speaker.

Sgt. Maj. Dallman SHAREs volunteer spirit

On-post school enrollment open only to residents

Due to the recent growth in population of Fort Belvoir, Fort Belvoir Elementary School will only be accepting students who live on post for new enrollment.
