AAFES shoppers get into the game with Army/Navy sweepstakes

Football fans looking to tackle big savings on snacks and drinks at BXs and PXs worldwide will have an exclusive shot at tickets to the 2008 Army/Navy game, and possibly $100,000, as the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and Dr. Pepper are teaming up to send one lucky winner, and a guest, to one of college football’s most fantastic traditions.

Authorized exchange shoppers who take time out to save at their exchange from Sept. 26 to Oct. 9 can enter to win the trip for two to Philadelphia, PA, airfare, hotel, game tickets and access to all pre-game parties.

“Because the prize is actually twofold, it offers a unique opportunity for a BX/PX shopper to be a part of the excitement that is only found at the annual match up between West Point and Annapolis,” said AAFES’ Chief Marketing Officer Mat Dromey. “In addition to seeing one of the oldest college football rivalries in the nation, our winner will also get a shot at scoring $100,000 during halftime.”

The day before the game, Friday, Dec. 5, the AAFES sweepstakes winner will compete against seven other military finalists in a preliminary competition to determine who will get a chance at throwing a football through a hole in a large inflatable Dr. Pepper Can for $100,000 during halftime. 

No purchase is necessary to enter the AAFES/Dr. Pepper Army/Navy Sweepstakes and the winner need not be present to win. In addition to entering “in-store,” shoppers in remote locations can download an entry form, that can be sent through regular mail, at www.aafes.com.

The Army/Navy Sweepstakes drawing will take place on or about Nov. 7.
