DCEETA wins season-opener against 249th PPS

Pullen Field welcomed players and spectators Monday night as DCEETA and 249th PPS “Pride Power” squared off in the intramural softball season’s first game. Despite a one-run tie in the first inning, DCEETA went on to win out over Pride Power, 11-6.

DCEETA took the lead in the second inning, bringing in four runs. Prime Power scored a run in the third inning and two in the fourth, cutting the deficit 7-4.

Both teams were fairly quiet in the fifth inning. DCEETA had a runner on base before three strikes were called to put Prime Power back on the plate.

Prime Power scored a single run in the fifth before putting up a scoreless sixth. DCEETA kept its advantage for the rest of the game, earning three runs in the sixth inning.
Both teams collected a final run in the seventh, but it was DCEETA that sealed the deal against Prime Power.
