Army volleyball makes history with win over Lafayette

A 3-0 win over Lafayette kept the Army volleyball team undefeated in Patriot League action (7-0), as the 19-2 club solidified the best start in Academy history on Saturday afternoon at Gillis Field House. Lafayette only led once during the entire match, as the Black Knights collected a 25-13, 25-18, 25-16 victory.

Anderson, men’s cross country beat Navy, 27-28

Senior Jonathan Anderson led the Army men’s cross country team to a thrilling one-point victory, 27-28, over Navy in the annual Star Meet Saturday morning at the U.S. Naval Academy Cross Course. Sophomore Alexis Torre, junior Kirk Chitwood, senior captain Andrew Catalano and junior Greg Griffith also scored for the Black Knights. 

Buffalo scores come-from-behind victory over Army

Buffalo overcame a pair of 14-point deficits in the second half and rallied for a 27-24 overtime win over Army Oct. 18. The Bulls (3-4, 1-2 MAC) trailed 17-3 and 24-10, but tallied the game’s final 17 points to take the victory, and snap the Black Knights’ (2-5) two-game winning streak.
