Fort Belvoir denied the Braddock Road Chargers their first win of the season in a decisive 20-7 win during a National division 85-pound showdown at a chilly Pullen Field Saturday

Members and guests of Fort Belvoir Golf Club celebrated their annual golf tournament over the weekend with three days of wonderful golf and gourmet dining.

A 3-0 win over Lafayette kept the Army volleyball team undefeated in Patriot League action (7-0), as the 19-2 club solidified the best start in Academy history on Saturday afternoon at Gillis Field House. Lafayette only led once during the entire match, as the Black Knights collected a 25-13, 25-18, 25-16 victory.

Senior Jonathan Anderson led the Army men’s cross country team to a thrilling one-point victory, 27-28, over Navy in the annual Star Meet Saturday morning at the U.S. Naval Academy Cross Course. Sophomore Alexis Torre, junior Kirk Chitwood, senior captain Andrew Catalano and junior Greg Griffith also scored for the Black Knights. 

Buffalo overcame a pair of 14-point deficits in the second half and rallied for a 27-24 overtime win over Army Oct. 18. The Bulls (3-4, 1-2 MAC) trailed 17-3 and 24-10, but tallied the game’s final 17 points to take the victory, and snap the Black Knights’ (2-5) two-game winning streak.

Bowling is nothing new for many parents looking for family fun

More than 280 Soldiers from around the Army competed in the fourth annual U.S. Army Combatives Championship Oct. 4 to 5 at Fort Benning, with 28 making
the finals in seven weight classes.
