Back to School Picnic
Fort Belvoir Elementary School hosts a Welcome Back Picnic for all returning and new families with students attending Fort Belvoir Elementary School. The picnic is Saturday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the elementary school, 5970 Meeres Road. Most activities will be inside. Parents must complete a liability form for their children to play on the moon bounce and water slide.

Movie night
The Belvoir Enlisted Spouses’ Club hosts the final summer movie in its “A Movie Under the Stars” program. Disney/Pixar’s “Cars” will fill the screen at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the amphitheater on the corner of Abbot and Guston roads.
Pre-movie activities begin at 7:30 p.m. and include jazz music from The U.S. Army Band’s ensemble, The Swamp Romp; face-painting and family activities.
People who attend the free event can bring blankets or lawn chairs. Refreshments will be sold.

Free family fun
MWR presents “End of Summer Bounce and Splash” from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday on P2 Field, North Post. The free event includes a water slide, inflatable obstacle course, bounce houses, free barbecue, a DJ, prizes, kids crafts, face-painting, snacks and giveaways and more.

Women’s Equality Day
To help celebrate Women’s Equality Day, Fort Belvoir offers a bus trip to the Sewell-Belmont House and Museum in Washington, D.C., Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bus leaves from the Sosa Center parking lot. Anyone interested should RSVP to Patricia Radford, 703-805-2006.
