Tree-lighting
Fort Belvoir’s annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony is at 4 p.m. today at Belvoir Chapel.

Handel’s Messiah
Each year, Fort Belvoir’s choirs combine with community members to form a Belvoir Community Choir. The group performs, with a professional orchestra and soloists, Part One, the Christmas Section, of Handel’s Messiah.
This year’s performance is Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Belvoir Chapel.

International Spouses Group
Army Community Service’s International Spouse Group meets Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at George Washington Village Community Center, 5714 Surveyor Road.
The group is intended for foreign-born spouses who want to meet others.

Holiday brunch with Santa
Santa visits the Officers’ Club Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to visit with all the children, naughty or nice. The event will have pictures with Santa and food.

Phone home for the holidays
USO and Fort Belvoir Community Center present Phone Home for the Holidays, Dec. 14 from 4 to 9 p.m. The event includes a gingerbread house, photos with Santa, crafts and games, a spaghetti dinner and more. Admission is free.
