Spring cleaning
The Protestant Women of the Chapel have a free market Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is at Woodlawn Chapel, across from the Commissary.
People are asked to bring donations from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Everything donated should be clean and in working condition.
The event is an ideal way to do some spring cleaning and help other families in the military community.

Mom can bowl for free
Sunday is Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day Bowling is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., when mothers can bowl three free games at Fort Belvoir’s Bowling Center.

Brunch at the Golf Club
Treat your mom to a delicious brunch and a view of the beautiful golf course on Mother’s Day. Seatings are at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The cost is $19.95 for adults, $8.95 for children ages 6 to 12 and $4.95 for children 5 and younger.

Travel fair
ITR’s Travel Fair is May 14 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Community Center. Admission is free and there will be giveaways from vendors, a packing contest, a monster coloring mural and more.

Road closure
Belvoir Road between Comstock Road and 23rd Street will be closed from Monday to May 18, to allow contractors to excavate the road to place a sanitary line, according to the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security.
Bixby Road is the detour route for motorists traveling on Belvoir Road.
