Town hall meetings change
The Dogue Creek Village and River Village Town Hall meeting is rescheduled to 7 p.m. Monday in Barden Education Center’s auditorium.
Also, town hall meetings for Belvoir and Gerber villages are now combined with the Rossell Village meeting 7 p.m.Wednesday at Barden Education Center’s auditorium.
Installation commander, Col. Brian W. Lauritzen, will provide a brief update of on-going items of interest to the Belvoir community and offer the opportunity for residents to ask questions. Other Belvoir staff members, and property management and maintenance staff representatives will be available.
CJCS Mullen speaks to NCOs Tuesday
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen speaks of the state of the Armed Forces and his vision for the future at the Noncommissioned Officers’ Breakfast Tuesday at Fort Belvoir’s Community Club.
The cost is $5 and is open to all NCOs in the National Capital Region.
The buffet opens at 7:30 a.m. Attendees should be seated by 7:45 a.m.

Hot Topic luncheon set
The next Hot Topic Luncheon is noon April 24 at the Officers’ Club. Tickets are available at the Fort Belvoir Chapel, 12th Street and Belvoir Road. There are 250 tickets available.
Lt. Col. Brian Birdwell is the guest speaker. On Sept. 11, 2001, as Birdwell walked down a Pentagon hallway, a hijacked airliner crashed yards away, burning him over 60 percent of his body. After more than 30 surgeries, Birdwell’s mission is to help others.
