Customer Management Services has a retirees’ focus group today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Lewis Village Community Center. Lunch will be provided.

Tax center change
The Fort Belvoir Tax Center is open in the Community Center, Bldg. 1200. Appointments are available Mondays through Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday walk-in services have been canceled.

PTO meeting, board members needed
The Fort Belvoir Elementary School PTO has a general meeting today at 7 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria. The meeting includes nominations for PTO Board positions for the 2010-11 school year. Many current board members plan to relocate next school year and the PTO is looking for new board members interested in volunteering their time next school year.
Positions expected to be open include president; vice presidents of membership, communications, volunteers and fundraising; treasurer and secretary. Brief descriptions of each position are available on the PTO Web site, fbpto.org, on the “about us” page under By-Laws.
Being a part of the board requires at least five volunteer hours each week. However, being on the board is rewarding and benefits the school.
People who can contribute to the school by volunteering to be on the PTO Board are asked to attend the meeting. Child care will be provided.
