December 18 has been set as the day when ace Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali fights with King Khan at the box office.
Bhansali’s much awaited flick Bajirao Mastani and the novel SRK starrer Dilwale are ready to fight on the same Friday during the month of December.
Trade specialists who don’t wish to be identified are really concerned.
A renowned maker known to mass-produce a nearly continuous flow of hits forecasts, “While Bajirao Mastani is likely to be a modern classic, it is the combination of Shah Rukh Khan and director Rohit Shetty that will draw in the crowds initially. The audience will first see Dilwale then Bajirao Mastani.”
In the interim, the fight for cinema halls has commenced. One heeds that SRK’s film making house Red Chillies will be booking a big portion of the theaters crosswise the nation.
“Thy have the clout. No one says no to Shah Rukh Khan. Remember when his Jab Tak Hai Jaan had clashed with Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardaar over Diwali in 2012? Ajay was left with little choice in terms of theatrical outlets,” says an unidentified trade professional.
Reasons Taran Adarsh, “I don’t think Dilwale or Bajirao Mastani will shift from their December 18 release date. The respective producers are sticking to the release date. Bajirao Mastani has already commenced promotions, while the trailer of Dilwale will be attached to Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. ”
