Gurgaon: Student Beaten to Death Allegedly Over DJ request

In Gurgaon, on tuesday, a student was beaten to death at a birthday party after a dispute over choice of music being played, according to police.

According to police, on Monday, the birthday party was organised in Gurgaon’s Subhash Nagar area.

A BBA student, Rohit, who is a resident of Krishna Colony, was at the party with his friends. Hawa Singh, Assistant commissioner of Police (ACP) said that a fight started over playing songs and dancing on the floor.

He said that a group of people wanted to dance to their own choice of music and group of people who ere there reportedly asked Rohit to leave the dance floor.

But this led to a fight and Rohit was beaten with hockey rods and sticks, according to police.

Rohit was rushed to a nearby hospital in an unconscious state however was declared brought dead by the doctors.

A few people have been detained by Police, including some students, over the incident.
