Shilpi Cable inks JV with NZ-based Eyecom

Marking its venture in the next generation technology of radio frequency (RF), a renowned manufacturer of cables, which are used in telecom, automotive and energy segment, Shilpi Cable Technologies Limited (SCTL) has recently signed a 50-50 joint partnership (JV) venture with the New Zealand-based EyecomTelecommunications Equipments Ltd.

While, the reports further highlighted the fact that after this joint venture, Shilpi Cable has successfully labeled as a one-stop RF path solution supplier in the telecom space and has commenced the base station antenna (BSA) products for 2G/3G/4G next generation rollouts in the country.

Commenting on the latest joint venture, Managing Director, Shilpi Cable Technologies Limited, Manish Goel said that because of the augmentation in data requirement and government’s push on Digital India there is certainly a rising requirement to supply enhanced technology solutions in the telecom space, so with this aim of fulfilling that requirement, they have signed a joint venture with Eyecom.

In the meantime, of its antennas in the Indian market, SCTL has profitably carried out field trials and further plans to set up a manufacturing competence at Chopanki, Rajasthan.

“With the increase in data demand and government’s push on Digital India there is an emerging need to provide improved technology solutions in the telecom space. Our JV with Eyecom will address this demand and aim at capturing at least 30 percent market share in the RF path solution market over the next three years,” said Manish.
