On this Saturday, a priest was fired in Vatican. He was supposedly a gay and he revealed the fact in a meeting. The meeting was of the world’s bishops to discuss how the church should deal with the gays, divorcees and also the Catholic families.
Gay Priest Fired In Vatican City on The Eve of Synod: Report
The priest, Monsignor Kryzstof Charamsa is a mid level official in Vatican. In some of the interviews, he went on saying that he is a happy and proud gay priest and also is in love with a guy who is his boyfriend.
“The decision to make such a pointed statement on the eve of the opening of the synod appears very serious and irresponsible, since it aims to subject the synod assembly to undue media pressure,” said the Vatican spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi.
This made him get fired from the Vatican church and so he can no longer continue to be a priest there. “As a result, Msgr. Charamsa could no longer work at the Vatican or its pontifical universities,” Rev. Lombardi said.
Msgr. Charamsa had planned for a press conference but was stopped as he got fired from the Vatican.the Report was first published in the Wall Street Journal.
