Friday morning a sudden open fire in Texas Southern University dormitory killed a student and another is seriously injured and hospitalized. This incident was alarming to the students and the management. Immediate lock-down was declared and all the classes were suspended- Officials of the HOUSTON school said.

The firing occurred outside the courtyard of the dormitory in the premises of university. One person is dead and the other is badly injured. Incident took place around 11:35 am local time as per Eva Pickens, Associate Vice President of communications, Houston School.
One victim was recognized as the student of the university. He died in less than half an hour after the incident took place. The other person is immediately rushed to the local area hospital in Houston, said Ms Pickens. “It’s crazy. It’s broad daylight’ she said.
The “possible” suspect was identified by the Houston Police in the noon as per the local time. Management decided to cancel the classes and shut down the campus for rest of the day.
This incident was quoted the second one by the management. 12 hours prior to this incident a person was shot dead outside the same dormitory as per the statement given by the Houston School.
In order to keep a check to the gun violence in Universities and educational campuses, a hot debate arouse amongst the Law makers and measures are being taking to put forth the law.
President Obama expressed his condolences and made a plea to the Lawmakers to look into the Gun-Control legislation.
