Faf Du Plessess imposed a fine

Faf Du Plessis has been imposed a fine of 15% of the fee for his match for violating the level 1 of ICC code of conduct during the 4th ODI against the country in Chennai. He has been found guilty of displaying dissent at the decision of the umpire while the latter gave him an out.

The incident happened in 15th over of SA’s chase for 33 Runs while the batsman had raised his right-hand for being held behind off Axar Patel.

SA had fallen short of thirty five runs as the Indian team leveled the 5 match ODI series 2, 2 with a wonderful victory in the 4th game. As per the medial-release of ICC, Duu Plessis has admitted his offense and has also accepted a sanctioned who has been proposed by the Chris board of Elite panel of the ICC match refrees by the matches’ end. There was as such no need of a formalized hearing.

“The incident happened in the 15th over of South Africa’s run-chase when du Plessis showed obvious dissent by raising his right hand after being declared caught behind off Axar Patel,” the International Cricket Council (ICC) said in a statement on Friday.
