Jose Mourinho was charged with misbehaving against the match officials on Saturday, a lost match against Southampton the reason for his rage.

Chelsea lost 3-1 against Southampton at their home turf. The Football Association has placed blame on Mourinho stating that his comment signifies the match officials to be biased. A frustrated and angry Chelsea manager said his team was denied a penalty, siting the cause of this as the referee being afraid of awarding his side a spot kick.

The Chelsea manager has until 6pm this Thursday to respond to the charge.

After the match, Mourinho was found blaming the match officials after yet another crushing defeat. Expressing that he would be completely honest as this was a low for him, he went on to say that referees are too afraid of giving penalties to Chelsea due to the pressure of media. He said that the moral of the team was really low after the defeat. The penalty could have saved the day, he believed.

It remains to be seen how this development would affect the upcoming match of Chelsea against Aston Villa on 17th of October.
