After losing their first match, Chennaiyin FC is all set to face against Delhi Dynamos. Roberto Carlos, the legendary player and current coach of Delhi Dynamos, called Chennaiyin FC as a favourite side. Warning his team of what is to come, he asked them to be prepared for a tough fight on Thursday.
Chennaiyin FC reached the semi-finals in the last edition of the Indian Super League. They have gotten off to a lousy start in this season by facing a defeat of 2-3 against Atletico De Kolkata, the former champions.
Expecting the clash of these two teams to be one of the best clashes in the tournament, Carlos, the two times runner up in the “FIFA world player of the year” award, stated that his team would try avoiding the mistakes against FC Goa, A match which they lost.
Dynamos coach pointed out that they would try their best to not repeat the mistakes they made in their first match. The contest is supposed to be a very close encounter, both teams a supposed favourite in this season.
Chennaiyin assistant coach Vivek Nagul said that their team needs to work on a few specific areas, especially the defence. He further mentioned that the team is missing out on Indian international striker Jeje Lalpekhlua, and depends heavily on Mohun Bagan’s Balwant Singh and Mumbai FC’s Jayesh Rane.
Bad news comes in the form of Ethiopian goal-scorer Fikru Teferra still being injured and not being able to play. On being prompted about Materazzi, Nagul said he would be in the dugout this season.
